What to Bring for Your Lyft or Uber Vehicle Inspection in California

Showing up ready makes your rideshare inspection quick and painless. Here’s the short list.

Bring these with you

• Your driver’s license
• Current vehicle registration
• Proof of California insurance
• A card or cash for the $45 inspection

You don’t need to bring the form. We keep current Uber and Lyft forms at the shop.

Give your car a 2-minute check

Do this in your driveway before you come in. It catches most problems.

• Headlights, brake lights, and turn signals all work. (Ask a friend to watch while you press the brake.)
• Wipers clear the glass without streaking.
• Tires have decent tread and no bulges.
• Horn works, and all the seat belts click.
• The windshield doesn’t have a big crack in front of the driver.
• Inside is clean and clutter-free.
